Visit and Tour of Vector Custom Fabricating

April 2022, Visit and tour of Vector Custom Fabricating, Fulton St. Chicago. Vector is a CSI sponsor as well as the fabricators for many members public works. Members had the chance to visit the shop and ask questions about the ins and outs of making large-scale public sculpture.

Pictured here is a sculpture created by CSI member Terry Karpowicz titled Stargazing with Contrails, 2021, Painted steel, 24 ft. tall. The sculpture was fabricated by Vector. Stargazing with Contrails was commissioned by Paul and Linda Uzureau for the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park‘s permanent collection.
