Gallery Space Rentals
at CSI Project Space
CSI Project Space is available for short-term gallery rentals, providing a flexible venue for exhibitions, installations, and related events.

All rental requests are subject to review and approval by the Gallery Space Director.
Insurance Requirement:
Renters are also required to provide a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) prior to the start of the rental period. The COI must meet all coverage requirements. For more information about requirements please contact projectspace@chicagosculpture.org
Payments:
If your rental has already been approved by the Gallery Space Director, Micki LeMieux, and you are ready to proceed with payment, please fill out the form to the right.
Rental Terms and Responsibilities
All renters are required to review and agree to the terms outlined in the rental contract, including responsibilities related to installation, supervision of the space, maintenance, and adherence to all gallery rules and policies. These guidelines are in place to ensure the safety of the artwork, the space, and all visitors.
Gallery Use Fee:
The fee charged for the usage of the Gallery is Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per week with an additional cleaning fee of $100 prior to rental. Upon completion of rental the user is expected to clean the gallery and return everything: lighting, equipment, tables and chairs to pre-rental state.
Deposit:
A 50% deposit is due along with the signed Agreement. The Gallery is not considered reserved until CSI receives the deposit. The balance due will be paid by the last day of rental. Payments are payable to: Chicago Sculpture International or made personal or corporate check noted as donation or via PayPal donation.
Cancellation:
In the event that the User needs to cancel an event, the Gallery must be given notice at least 2 weeks prior to the event. Failure to give this notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
CSI reserves the right, without penalty or liability of any nature, to reschedule or cancel the date(s) confirmed in the event circumstances arise that are not anticipated at the time the confirmation is made, which would prevent the use of the facility. Prompt notice of cancellation will be given to the Renter in the event that the need for cancellation becomes apparent. In the event of cancellation, refund of deposit in full will be given.
Food and Beverage:
In the event alcohol is served, it is not to be offered for sale.
Smoking and any open flames (candles, cooking) in the Gallery are prohibited at all times.
Set up and Clean up:
The User is responsible for the event set up and any clean up. CSI provides track lighting, WiFi, folding chairs, pedestals, and an 8-foot ladder for events. The User is responsible for providing additional equipment and materials. The User, their agents or guests must remove all equipment and materials they supplied and return the Gallery to a satisfactory condition at the end of the
rental period.
Endorsement:
Use of the Gallery for any purpose does not signify or constitute endorsement by CSI (Trustees, staff, members or volunteers) of the User or any organization to which User is affiliated.
User may not, in any way, suggest or imply that the CSI makes such an endorsement.The User shall bear full responsibility for the promotion of event(s) held within the gallery space, including all associated costs. In the case of fine art-related exhibitions, CSI reserves the right,
at its sole discretion, to provide promotional assistance through its monthly newsletter and social media platforms
Altering the Gallery:
Users are permitted to use nails, hooks, tacks or screws for hanging on gallery walls only, and provided that upon completion of rental, all hardware is removed, the holes patched and the walls painted and restored to pre-rental condition. Any installation method outside this scope must receive authorization from CSI.
CSI shall approve all decorations prior to the event. At no time are any of the following decorations allowed: confetti, potpourri, glitter, bubbles, birdseed, incense, candles or other types of open flames. No items may be tossed, spread or scattered in the Gallery, including rice, birdseed, confetti and flower petals.
Damage to the Gallery:
Any damage that may occur due to the negligence or behavior of the User, an agent of the User or any of the attendees of the event (regardless of whether they were invited or not) becomes the responsibility of the User.
The User also agrees that if the premises, or any items contained therein, regardless of whether the item is owned by CSI, is damaged by any act, default or negligence by the User, an agent of the User or any of the attendees of the event, the User will pay the Gallery such sum necessary to restore or repair item to original condition. In the event the item is beyond repair, the User will pay such sum equal to the full, retail price of the item, as determined by the CSI.
Insurance:
CSI is not responsible for User's lost, stolen, or damaged property, including events-related fixtures and equipment or personal property of User and non-CSI-affiliated attendees.
CSI has a General Commercial Liability policy of insurance for the Project Space Gallery.
This insurance does not apply to the User, user agents and/or attendees and their property.
Control of the Building:
In allowing the use of the CSI Project Space Gallery or property associated with Gallery to a User, CSI retains the right to control the management thereof, and to enforce all the rules for the management and operation of the same.
CSI, or one of its assigns, reserves the right to (1) eject any person, (2) halt any activity or
(3) disperse any gathering in the Gallery it deems objectionable, (4) within its legal right, refuse rental to any User or organization that might jeopardize or possibly harm the Gallery’s good standing with the community and its reputation.In consideration for the use of the building, the User hereby waives any and all claims, actions and causes of actions for damages against CSI, its employees or volunteers, including but not limited to any damages resulting from action taken in enforcement of the rights set forth in this Agreement, relating to, or in connection with the use of the premises.
Indemnification:
The User agrees to indemnify and hold CSI, its staff, members or volunteers harmless from any and all claims, actions and causes of actions relating to, and in any way connected to, the negligence of the User, their agents or event attendees in their use of the Gallery.
Additional Provisions:
The maximum occupancy of the Gallery at any one time is 80 people. The User shall not violate the maximum occupancy.
The User shall not, in its usage of the Gallery, discriminate on any basis.
