“I explore the layered relationships we form with our surroundings through repetition and geometric structure. Drawn to geometric tessellations formed by mathematically symmetrical structures, I find complete clarity through the labor-intensive process of making, and precision becomes a form of meditation. My work uses repeated forms and intricate paper manipulation to reflect a desire for order amidst daily chaos. Paper, with its adaptable yet ephemeral nature, becomes a tool for freezing fleeting moments of clarity. I use this material as a way to unify my visual language and continually investigate my curiosity in mathematically derived structures with predictable qualities and consistent geometric compositions. Through folding, I create sculptural compositions that invite interaction and emphasize repetition as both process and focus. These forms reflect my fascination with symmetry, control, and communication--quietly confronting the irregularities of the world through intentional structure.” - Stella Moon
